Year 6 Teacher - Maternity Cover Opportunity

Are you an experienced Year 6 teacher ready for your next exciting challenge? Or maybe an ECT with a KS2 preference. Tradewind is seeking a dedicated, passionate educator to join one of our partner schools in Manchester for a maternity cover role. The Ideal Candidate Will:

Role Details:

  • Location: Manchester
  • Class: Year 6
  • Duration: January 2025 - August 2025 (maternity cover)
  • Schedule: Full time
  • Pay: £130 - £190 per day (based on experience, with potential for higher rates)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver dynamic lessons aligned with the KS2 National Curriculum and the school's creative approach
  • Scaffold age-appropriate learning to support each pupil's success
  • Maintain detailed records, addressing learning gaps to ensure strong attainment
  • Foster trust-based relationships with pupils and engage collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, key stage teams, and other staff

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Strong references demonstrating prior teaching experience
  • Complete employment history on your CV
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check and provide suitable references
