Position: KS2 Teaching Assistant

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and enthusiastic KS1 Teaching Assistant! Step Teachers are working with a primary school in Norwich to recruit a KS2 Teaching Assistant to support pupil in Year 6. This is a long-term supply role.

Key Responsibilities of a KS2 Teaching Assistant:

• Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom management.
\n
• Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
\n
• Support students with varying abilities and learning needs, including those with special educational needs.
\n
• Act as a positive role model for students, promoting appropriate behaviour and social skills.
\n

Requirements of a KS2 Teaching Assistant:

• Previous experience working as a KS2 Teaching Assistant is essential.
\n
• Strong administrative and organisational abilities are crucial.
\n
• Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with staff and students.
\n
• Flexibility to adapt to the dynamic needs of the school environment.
\n
• A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools) is desirable but not essential
