WWT is ranked on Glassdoor Best Places to Work for 12 years in a row and featured on Fortune’s 100 Best Companies to Work For list for 8 years in a row.This is a Contract RoleContract Duration: 6 monthsLocation: Remote, UKInside IR 35Key Responsibilities:Conduct comprehensive testing on various network and security devices including Checkpoint and Fortinet firewall.Develop and execute test plans to evaluate the performance, reliability, and security of network connectivity solutions.Simulate network traffic and security breach scenarios to assess device responses and system integrity.Collaborate with development teams to identify system requirements and integrate security measures.Document test procedures, results, and recommendations for system enhancements.Stay up-to-date with the latest threats and security best practices to ensure our defences are robust.Provide technical support and troubleshooting for connectivity and security-related issues.Train and mentor junior engineers and technical staff on connectivity testing procedures and best practices.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.Minimum of 3 years of experience in a network security or connectivity testing role.Proficiency with Checkpoint Firewall, Fortinet.Technical knowledge in networking (Cisco and non-Cisco) with an emphasis on software-defined networksExtensive experience as a data network and security specialist in a large enterprise networkProficient hands on experience networking background (Subnetting, Switching, Routing, VLANs, VRFs, Firewalls, VPNs…etc)Proficient in setting up and manage the modern configuration management, infrastructure as code tools, CI/CD tools (e.g. Ansible, Jenkins , Git, GitHub etc.) is a plusStrong understanding of network protocols, security standards, and testing methodologies.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
