Position: Lab Technician

Responsibilities:


  • Support the Research and Development team in our Test Laboratory.
  • Work alongside Product Designers, Application Engineers, and the Quality team.
  • Care and maintain test lab equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Prepare samples for mechanical and environmental testing.
  • Conduct tests and record results accurately.
  • Periodically audit and inspect finished products.
  • Report to the Director of Research and Development.

What You’ll Do:


  • Plan, set up, and conduct controlled tests and trials.
  • Develop and manage test procedures and standards.
  • Document and present results and conclusions to cross-functional teams.
  • Provide technical support on New Product Development projects.
  • Manage or liaise with third-party test houses for outsourced testing.
  • Perform root-cause investigations into quality issues.

What You’ll Bring:


  • Experience in the manufacturing industry (3+ years preferred).
  • Experience working in a Test Lab environment.
  • GCSEs in English, Mathematics, and Sciences or equivalent.
  • Preferably HNC or BEng Degree in a related discipline.
