Car driver needed, based at home / South lakeland office. . To coordinate and where necessary manage individual cases, and to provide
advice and assistance to employers and voluntary agencies where allegations
are made in respect of those who work with children.
2. To receive record and report in the prescribed formats all reports of allegations
made against persons who work with children.
3. To be involved in the management and oversight of individual cases where a joint
agency response is required and where investigatory, disciplinary and
regulatory processes need to be coordinated, chairing multi-agency strategy
discussions where required.
4. To provide advice and guidance to Named Senior Officers and their staff in
organisations where persons (employees or volunteers) work with children,
including raising challenge and escalation where processes are not being
followed.
5. To facilitate liaison between agencies, monitor cases and to ensure that they are
dealt with as quickly as possible consistent with a thorough and fair process
6. Where necessary to advise employers and facilitate referrals to the Independent
Safeguarding Authority or other regulatory bodies.
7. To provide expert advice to the Cumbria Local Safeguarding Children Board on all
aspects of the management of allegations against those who work with
children.
8. To support the development and delivery of training and awareness raising with
partner agencies
9. To deputise for the LADO team manager in representing the service at meetings where required
