A luxury house builder with a good local reputation, are looking to recruit a Land Buyer to work in their land team for new build housing projects for sale on the open market in West Yorkshire
The role:
As a Land Buyer, you'll be instrumental in identifying, evaluating, and facilitating the acquisition of appropriate land for residential developments. This role holds significant importance within the organisation, demanding a strategic mind and experience of the Yorkshire property market, local plans, planning regulations and viability appraisals.

What you'll be doing:

Collaborate with the Head of Land throughout the entire land acquisition process, spanning from initial identification through due diligence, offer, contract negotiation, purchase, planning, and pre-start activities on acquired sites.

Conduct comprehensive competitor sales analysis.

Coordinate land offers by working closely with various departments such as Technical, Commercial, Planning, and Sales.

Build and manage relationships with housing associations to secure optimal offers for affordable housing, overseeing the contract negotiation and sale of affordable housing units.

Play a role in instructing, reviewing, and managing Section 106 agreements.

Contribute to maintaining and expanding the Division's crucial contact base, including interactions with land agents, landowners and Housing Associations.

Assist the Head of Land in major projects and undertake other relevant duties as needed.

Collaborate with the Head of Land to prepare comprehensive land packs for Board approval.

Be prepared for occasional out-of-hours work, such as attending planning committees and networking events.

Adhere to Group policies, systems, and procedures in all activities.

The Person:

Demonstrated expertise in land acquisition within the Yorkshire property market.

Proficient knowledge of planning regulations, sales comparable reporting, and financial modelling.

Outstanding negotiation and communication skills.

Capable of collaborative teamwork with cross-functional teams.

Possesses an analytical mindset with meticulous attention to detail.
