SummaryOXBO are delighted to be working with an exciting European renewable energy developer who are currently looking to grow the team and recruit a Land Manager to assist in the development of their solar PV projects.They are looking for an experienced individual with expertise in Land Management processes for renewable energy projects (Options/Heads of Terms/Leases & Easements/Wayleaves) to join the team and add to their exciting pipeline of projects in the UK.The Land Manager will focus on the delivery of land assembly and other property related agreements from initial site identification through to financial close, amongst other responsibilities for solar PV projects.ResponsibilitiesManage the delivery of land assembly and other property related agreements from initial site identification through to financial close for solar PV projects.Negotiate and secure Heads of Terms, Option and Lease agreements and other third-party property rights with landowners required for the successful delivery of new projects.Identify and approach landowners to agree rent and other commercial terms.Oversee and manage the drafting and completion of land agreementsUndertake title searches to ascertain property ownership and other rights.Maintain budgets and development expenditure in respect of land assembly activities and provide progress reports, when requiredProvide support in the identification, feasibility, evaluation and development of new projects.Manage a diverse range of external and internal stakeholder relationships, including landowners, tenants, land agents, legal advisors, local planning authorities and statutory consulteesAssist with land and property transactions in relation to joint venture partnerships, acquisition, sale and any associated due diligenceCreate and maintain a land terrier register to ensure rent and other payments are paid on timeProvide advice and support on valuation and other project and property management matters including site finding and land assembly strategyManage existing landlord and tenant relationshipsRepresent the Company at community engagement, stakeholder consultations and other meetings and eventsRequirementsHave a strong knowledge and understanding of the commercial parameters of renewable energy development and operationBe commercially astute with an attention to detail and understanding of riskExcellent business development ability, with keen awareness of potential opportunitiesExperience in managing, negotiating and securing land and other property related agreements for NSIP projects - DCO and renewables experience is required.Proficient in land and real estate transactions and any associated legal documentation provisions and procedures.Experience of consultation with both internal and external stakeholders and in developing strong working relationships with key actors.Accreditation with a relevant professional institute.Educated to Degree level (ideally rural surveying, estate management or a relevant land/property related discipline)Full UK driving licence.Frequent travel to undertake site visits and meet landowners
