Our client, a prominent player in the buildings sector, is looking for a dedicated Landscape Architect/Clerk of Works to join their team on a contract basis. This role is split between two key functions: Landscape Architect with LVIA experience and Landscape Clerk of Works, ensuring both planning and on-site construction excellence.

Key Responsibilities:


Landscape Architect with LVIA Experience

  • Conducting landscape and visual assessments for new developments.
  • Preparing reports, plans, and illustrations to support planning applications.
  • Collaborating with environmental consultants, urban designers, and planners.
  • Engaging in site analysis, landscape planning, and mitigation design.
  • Communicating findings to clients, stakeholders, and the public.


Landscape Clerk of Works

  • Monitoring landscape construction activities, including planting, hardscape installation, and site grading.
  • Ensuring work is carried out according to the specifications and industry standards.
  • Identifying and resolving any discrepancies or issues during construction.
  • Liaising with contractors, clients, and designers to maintain project quality.
  • Maintaining accurate records of site visits, progress reports, and quality assessments.
Job Requirements:


Skills and Experience Needed for Landscape Architect with LVIA Experience

  • Strong technical skills in LVIA methodologies, landscape character assessment, and viewshed analysis.
  • Proficiency in software such as GIS, CAD, Adobe Creative Suite, or 3D modelling tools.
  • Experience in report writing and presentation.
  • Experience in landscape architecture, preferably with a focus on LVIA.


Skills and Experience Needed for Landscape Clerk of Works

  • Strong knowledge of landscape construction techniques, materials, and specifications.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role or in construction inspection.
