The Team The team is a well-diversified business, which has been able to withstand a testing business cycle. They have notable practitioners with extensive expertise in commonly used financial agreements. They are also active across the entire range of products and asset classes. Their lawyers remain key advisers to the most prominent industry players. The Role The London office of this law firm is looking for an associate lawyers who is keen to expand and complement their existing skills and experience by working on a range of structured funding, liquidity, capital and arbitrage-driven transactions, involving capital markets and derivatives technology. Key areas of responsibility will include (but not limited to): Advise on generally large scale derivatives and/or structured financing transactions, acting for deal participants by advising on, structuring, documenting, negotiating and managing the execution of the transactions. Broad derivatives work including equity financing and also structured finance work, such as repacks. Drafting, reviewing and amending documentation. Providing strategic guidance to clients. Managing client expectations and project delivery appropriately. Business development - development of personal plan, assistance with and implementation of business development campaign. Legal research. Key Requirements The successful candidate will have NQ - 3 PQE from a highly respected firm. Ideally you would have some experience in structured derivatives and/or capital markets transactions/ISDA documentation, but it is not essential. Our client will consider those who are more specialised looking to broaden skill set and very much open to Associates from Australia and New Zealand. You will ideally also have: Strong academics. Solid Commercial acumen. The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. The ability to explain complex information clearly and concisely. The desire and ability to continuously acquire, build upon and share knowledge. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. A positive attitude and ability to build good rapport with both clients and fee earners. A team-oriented mindset. Candidates MUST be a qualified solicitor.
