Full Time Contract (12 months)

Novax Recruitment is actively seeking a Lawyer in Plymouth. This is a contract with a scope for extension working full time hours.

The job:

• Legal casework is undertaken as allocated by the senior lawyer to include general and specific advice, instructing and liaising with Counsel, professional experts and surplus to capacity partners
• The post holder must draft complex legal documents relating to their caseload
• The role may include assistance with regard to witness statements and preparation of witnesses to attend Court hearings
• Supervisions and training is provided to Legal Assistants by way of work instructions

The candidate:

• Must be a qualified lawyer in England and Wales or CILEX
• Prior local authority experience is desirable
• Experience working within employee relations / TUPE is essential
