Our client is currently looking for a skilled and motivated LCV Technician to join their welfare hire team based in the Castleford area. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of welfare vehicles to the highest standards. They are looking for someone with a strong attention to detail and a passion for vehicle maintenance. You will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of welfare vans. The successful candidate will ensure that all vehicles are kept in excellent working condition, meeting safety, compliance, and operational standards.

LCV Technician Job Overview
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults.
  • Replace or repair damaged or faulty parts.
  • Attend on-site breakdowns, diagnose issues, and carry out necessary repairs.
  • Accurately record all job details, including labour and parts used, on the handheld tablet.
  • Manage parts requirements and support the efficient stock level system.
  • Report potential customer recharges to the Depot Manager and via the handheld tablet.
  • Provide support in other areas of the business as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with the company's health and safety policies during site operations.
  • Represent the company professionally, maintaining a polite and friendly demeanour at all times.
  • Adhere to the company's Employee Handbook policies and procedures.
  • Perform any additional tasks as assigned by your manager.
LCV Technician Job Requirements
  • At least 2 years of experience as an LCV Technician.
  • NVQ Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Mechanics, Maintenance, and Repair.
  • Proven experience in diagnostic repairs and fault finding.
  • A full, current driving license.
  • Strong ability to prioritize tasks, work efficiently under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Good understanding of health and safety regulations.
  • Professional attitude with the ability to work well within a team.
LCV Technician Salary & Benefits
  • Up to �15.97 per hour dependant on experience
  • 45 hours a week 8:00-17:00
