Lead Analytics Engineer (x3)Contract: 6 monthsLocation: LondonRate: £600 per dayWe are seeking Lead Analytics Engineers to join a public sector organisation’s Data Modelling and Engineering team. This team is responsible for developing and maintaining data pipelines from operational services to the organisation's Analytical Platform.As a Lead Analytics Engineer, you will not only develop dimensional data models to support analysts, performance teams, and data scientists, but also lead and mentor a team of engineers. Your work will help reduce reliance on manual, inefficient processes by implementing modern, scalable data models.With new microservices replacing legacy operational databases, significant support is needed to ensure the continuity of data feeds to downstream applications. Current models were developed in a piecemeal manner for specific reports, and this project aims to develop a comprehensive data model that accurately reflects business processes and analytical requirements.We are looking for a skilled and collaborative individual with a proven ability to lead teams and drive best practices in analytics engineering.Essential Skills:Expertise in SQL and JinjaProficient in dbt, with experience implementing dbt best practicesExperience leading and mentoring a team of analytics engineersStrong understanding of data and business process relationshipsUp-to-date knowledge of analytics engineering practices and developmentsExperience designing and developing conceptual, logical, and physical data modelsExperience ensuring data documentation aligns with user requirementsAbility to engage and maintain relationships with business stakeholders and cross-functional teamsDesirable Skills:Experience in Python programmingKnowledge of cloud platforms, especially AWSExperience building dashboards or data applicationsFamiliarity with CI/CD workflows, ideally using GitHub ActionsIf you're interested in this leadership role and would like to join this exciting data transformation project, please send your CV, and we’ll be in touch to arrange a call!As this role is hybrid, you'll need to comfortable commuting to London twice a month.
