Role: Lead IT Business AnalystContract: PermanentSalary: Up to £61kLocation: BirminghamReports To: Associate Director of ITDirect Reports: IT Business Analyst x4 and x1 Test AnalystJob Purpose:This Public Centre entity based in Birmingham City Centre are looking for a high calibre business analysis professional, leading the IT Business Analysis team, charged with undertaking a critical and continual reviews of business processes across the organisation and on the analytical delivery of major organisational process improvement initiatives. The role will assist in delivering a transformational change agenda and encourage and promote cultural change that is required to embrace the future direction of the organisation. The role will lead IT continuous improvement and change management, including identifying and evaluating opportunities for business-led technological.As this is a Hybrid role, there would be an expectation for you to be based in the Birmingham City Centre office 2-days per week.Key Responsibilities:Manage the IT Business Analysis team following good management practices, ensuring senior managers and the wider team are motivated and meet their objectives. Develop the wider team’s skillset in line with the professional development requirements for IT, including programme and project management.To lead additional contract resources when required for major initiatives such the FtP End to End Review programme.To lead the Business Analysts Working Group including promoting effective communication and buy in between IT and business teams.To identify, design and oversee in partnership with internal teams, IT developments for benefit of internal staff e.g. improvements to CRM.To design a service catalogue process as directed by the Head of IT including completion of comprehensive “as is” and “to be” process maps.Define the deliverables, resource requirements and work plans for all IT projects and manage their development and delivery. Identify and seek additional resources as required.Lead on the IT Change Management process. Be responsible for the management of the IT Change Advisory Board, coordinate and administer the IT Change Request process.Develop a continuous service improvement culture within IT to ensure that it can continue to evolve in line with the changing business environment.To support the Associate Director of IT with IT governance and the mechanisms in place to ensure compliance, legislative and other, developing IT policies in line with change initiatives.Personal and Professional Skills:Demonstrable business process analysis and re-engineering skills with the ability to transform the efficiency of administrative processes, including customer service transactions, maximising productivity, efficiency, effectiveness and transparency.Proven line management experience and skills including managing performance in a project and an operational environment, plus experience of coaching, teaching or training others. Excellent communication skills including listening, negotiating and interpretation, establishing rapport, understanding needs and reaching agreement with others. Able to adapt working style and communications appropriately to different levels. Able to use a variety of mediums: face-to-face, phone, email, letter and business report writing in a way that instils confidence and authority.Design and execution of tailored engagement plans for key stakeholders, working closely with cross[1]functional colleagues to deliver successful outcomes. Identify improvement opportunities in business processes, working methodologies & behaviours, seeking alignment with complimentary or related initiatives. Supporting wider Teams in shaping creative solutions for addressing identified improvement areas.Ability to think logically, has a demonstrated track record of researching and investigating issues and problem-solving. This will include analysing problems; identify solution criteria and producing a range of options to solve issues and implementing the best fit solution.Can build successful and effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and can manage these relationships over a sustained period.Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on high quality. Able to work independently and effectively and use own initiative to deliver projects.Expertise in continuous improvement management including working knowledge of Lean, Kaizen operational process and procedure.Committed to equality and diversity in service delivery.Must have proven experience and ability to:Proven experience of managing a Business Analyst function.Experience of building successful and effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and can manage these relationships over a sustained period.Managed and led a team previously.Experience of developing, coaching, and managing staff.
