Brand New Oppourtunity for a Lead Commisioning Engineer!Our Client has a requirement for a Lead Commisioning Engineer, who will be required to work on a contract basis in Carlisle or Rosyth. Based in Carlisle or RosythNuclear experience neededInside IR352 year contractHybrid working arrangement4 day working week compressed hours Mon – ThursRate: DOECommisioning Engineers will also be considered for this role Role Purpose:As an EC&I Commissioning Engineer, you work as part of a highly collaborative integrated team, using your experience working within a nuclear licensed site environment to provide knowledge and expertise in support of safe and high quality installation, configuration, validation and work package development.Currently, the role offers a 4-day working week with compressed hours worked Monday to Thursday on site in Cumbria. Working hours may change as the Project develops, but it is currently anticipated this working arrangement will be in place for the next 2 years.Please note that travel to the Site Testing Facility in Rosyth, Fife and other supply chain locations may be required subject to Project demands. Occasional travel to the Warrington Project office may also be required.Job Role Responsibilities:General Startup Specialist duties of installation, configuration, validation and work package developmentWork Planning & Packaging Schedules and assists with planning of CSU execution activities including sequence and resource requirements for assigned areas of responsibility.Prepares Startup Work Packages and Test Work Packages for assigned areas of responsibility.Turnover Coordination Participates in Construction to CSU turnover walkdowns for assigned areas of responsibility.Liaises with the Field Engineering team as required to support component/system turnover.Material Mgmt. & Quantities Initiates requisitions for field purchases and prepares quantity takeoffs of field purchased material and equipment.Quality Control Performs walkdowns to validate that the system configuration is in accordance with the design.Performs and/or monitors testing of equipment to assure conformance with specifications and compliance with test procedures, that work methods are undertaken safely and activities are supported to meet schedule and cost.ES&H Identifies and elevates ES&H issues in the field and, leading by example in good ES&H practicesExperience Needed:3-5 years experience working on a nuclear licensed siteCity and Guilds in electrical trade or higher level qualificationRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Experience working on a Nuclear Licensed Site, with understanding of nuclear site license conditionsPrevious Commissioning experienceExperience working in a collaborative environment.Company informationAt First Recruitment Group we understand just how important it is to secure the right people.
