Senior Databricks Consultant (Engineer/Architect)Remoteup to £110,000I'm currently looking for a Senior Consultant with expertise in Databricks and Microsoft Azure to work with a growing data-focused consultancy. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in leading data and analytics projects, providing technical expertise, and building strong relationships with clients. This role involves a mix of technical work, strategic planning, client interaction, and team leadership.Role responsibilities: Technical Leadership: Lead the design and implementation of full life-cycle cloud based data and analytics solutions using Databricks and Microsoft Azure. Guide project teams in utilising the right tools, architectures, and best practices.Project Management: Oversee project tasks, timelines, and budgets to ensure on time and on-budget delivery. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to align project objectives with client expectations.Client Relations: Build and maintain strong client relationships. Act as the primary point of contact for clients, understanding their business needs and translating them into technical solutions.Team Leadership: Mentor and lead junior consultants and other team members, providing guidance, feedback, and support for their development.Strategic Contributions: Contribute to project strategy and direction, offering innovative solutions to address client challenges and enhance project outcomes.Business Development: Support business development efforts by identifying new opportunities, contributing to proposals, and participating in client presentations.Required Qualifications Technical Expertise: Demonstrated experience with Databricks and Microsoft Azure, including data engineering, data warehousing, data lakes, and related analytics technologies.Experience in Data and Analytics: Background in data and analytics projects, with the ability to design and implement scalable solutions using cloud-based platforms.Strong Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Project Management Experience: Proven track record in managing project timelines, budgets, and deliverables.Client-Facing Experience: Ability to build and maintain client relationships, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions and client satisfaction.Leadership and Team Building: Experience in leading teams, mentoring junior consultants, and fostering a collaborative environment.Business Development: Familiarity with business development processes, including contributing to proposals and supporting sales efforts.Preferred Qualifications Certifications: Relevant certifications in Databricks, Microsoft Azure, or related data and analytics technologies.Advanced Technical Skills: Experience with advanced data analytics, machine learning, and AI in a cloud-based environment.Industry Knowledge: Understanding of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in the data and analytics domain.
