We seek a seasoned Lead Data Engineering Manager to drive our Data & Analytics function through a pivotal transition from on-premises legacy Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) to cutting-edge Cloud Lakehouse architecture on the Microsoft Azure Synapse platform.Key Responsibilities:Direct and oversee data engineering projects within roughly eight Agile Product Squads in the Data & Analytics division.Supervise the strategy, design, and implementation of transitioning legacy EDW and Data Marts into an advanced Cloud Lakehouse architecture.Develop and implement on-premises and cloud engineering standards, processes, and best practices across all Agile Product Squads.Serve in a dual capacity as both a hands-on data engineer and managerial lead for our Data Engineering team, boosting our data engineering prowess.Collaborate extensively with Data & Solution Architects, IT Infrastructure & Security teams, and Agile Product Squads.Oversee the hiring process and manage relationships with vendors and third-party delivery partners to achieve project objectives.What's on Offer:A dynamic role that blends hands-on technical work with management responsibilities.The opportunity to work in a hybrid role, enabling flexibility and a balanced approach to office and remote work.A chance to lead a critical transformation in a globally recognized firm, making a significant impact on the company’s data strategy and capabilities.Ideal Candidate:Proven experience in data engineering and managing technical teams.Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure Synapse and Cloud Lakehouse architecture.Excellent stakeholder communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across various teams.A visionary leader with a track record of successful technical project management and strategic oversight.***Must have right to work in UK (No Sponsorship can be provided)Please apply!
