DevOps-SRE Lead Engineer2 days per week on-site85k-120k base salary plus bonusesWe are hiring on behalf of a leading financial institution committed to creating products that help clients grow their businesses, supporting millions of customers across the UK.As a DevOps-SRE Lead Engineer, you’ll divide your time between leading, mentoring, and hands-on engineering. You will build and maintain large-scale, fault-tolerant systems, focusing on reliability, scalability, and architectural simplicity. You'll optimize existing Azure systems, develop new Azure PaaS and IaaS solutions, and drive automation.Key Responsibilities:Lead and mentor a team of engineers in DevOps and SRE practices.Solve complex technical challenges with coding, system design, and forensic analysis.Automate processes and build new solutions on Azure.Develop and manage Kubernetes services, container security, and microservice architectures.Implement SRE principles, manage code quality, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud security.What We’re Looking For:Proficiency in at least two languages (e.g., .Net, Java, Python, Go, Bash/Shell).Proven technical leadership experience.Extensive DevOps experience at a senior engineering level.Strong knowledge of Azure (AKS, Key Vault, APIM) and DevOps tools (Azure DevOps, Nexus, Git).Experience with Kubernetes and Istio (AKS is an advantage).Why Join Us?Join a team at the forefront of banking technology innovation.
