LDD, part of Acteon Group, is a marine and subsea foundation specialist. Using our extensive in-field experience, we design, engineer, build and operate world class pile-installation, lifting equipment and drilling equipment to deliver tubular foundations of any size, in any geology, anywhere.
LDD are looking to add Offshore Drill Operatives to their UK based team on a full time, permanent basis. The Offshore Drill Operative is responsible for delivering & providing LDD business onsite service and support. The Offshore Drill Operative will bring a dynamic, hands-on approach; working as part of a supportive team, they will be able to hit the ground running, with a commitment to upholding our standards of safety and quality at all times.
Currently we are welcoming applications from Offshore Drill Operatives of all skill levels from entry level up to experienced pile top drillers. The Offshore Drill Operative will have the desire and willingness to work flexibly offshore and in return there will be excellent training and development opportunities with LDD and the wider Acteon Group.
Duties/Responsibilities

  • Ensure that work is carried out to the highest standard in accordance with the QHSE requirements of LDD, the Acteon Group and our clients
  • Ensure documentation required under either the contract or the project quality plan are completed and delivered in a timely fashion to a high standard.
  • Attend service calls for the support, maintenance, and installation of equipment within various industries offshore
  • Understand the importance of safe systems of work and deliver toolbox talks and provide feedback via risk cards, and to supervisor/lead operative
  • Contribute to the assembly and disassembly of equipment and techniques employed onsite.
  • Maintain clear, day to day decision making in conjunction with onsite supervisor/line manager
  • Coordination of teams of local technicians during commissioning, repair, or maintenance
  • Build positive working relationships with others within site teams
  • Commitment to continuous self-development undertaking and developing all training and knowledge required

Requirements

  • Hands on technical experience gained from a position within the civil construction or engineering industry
  • In possession of relevant qualifications and/or certification
  • Experience of assembling operating, maintaining, and disassembling various site equipment
  • Excellent communicator, in both written and verbal forms supported by good attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and proactively with a strong sense of self-motivation as well as collaboratively within a team
  • Creative and adaptable in the ability to manage new challenges
  • Ability to promote best practice and QHSE compliance, raising standards through demonstration of own behaviours
  • Ability to mobilise flexibly as required by the demands of the team
