Lead Electrical Section Engineer 
Due to continued expansion, we're recruiting a Lead Electrical Section Engineer to join our well established client. 
The Role: 




  • Lead the Department’s Electrical Safety requirements ensuring legislation/standards are complied with and resources are in place to ensure electrical safety is maintained. 

  • To ensure safety standards in ACP are maintained and safe working procedures are implemented. 

  • Carry out Safety and Housekeeping Audits on a regular basis.

  • Ensure that plant, departmental personnel, and contractors operate within Health, Safety and Environmental legislation. 

  • Lead the departments approach to process safety across all equipment, including SIF proof testing and the management of change process.

  • Provide technical and management expertise necessary. 

  • Ensure Capital, Revenue and Maintenance programmes are carried out efficiently within budgets.

  • Develop planned maintenance, inspection schedules and ensure they're implemented to meet statutory, quality and engineering requirements.

  • Manage and develop Engineers and Craft teams to satisfy current and long-term Business objectives. 

  • Undertake 121 appraisals and personnel development plans. 

  • Manage training and development of the Electrical craft teams. 

  • Develop, prepare, and submit Major Maintenance, Capital, and Revenue proposals. 

  • Monitor KPIs, identify any deviation and implement corrective action.

  • Lead and co-ordinate investigations, identify root cause and implement solutions.



Requirements: 




  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical principles, control and systems engineering including PLC’s HMI and SCADA packages.

  • 5 years’ experience in either supervisory or technical role. 

  • Must an Electrical Engineering Degree or equivalent HND or HNC.

  • Ability to meet deadlines.

  • Strong electrical automation and instrumentation knowledge. 

  • knowledge of electric arc furnaces. 



Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 Per Annum. 
Working hours: Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm. 
This is a Full time, Permanent position.
