Lead Engineer

Belcan is seeking a Lead C&I Engineer in Reading!

Type: Contract (12 months)

How: 4 days onsite, 1 day WFH

About the Role:

Join our client's dynamic design team as a Lead Engineer, where you will play a crucial role in managing various suppliers involved in the design, manufacturing, installation, and commissioning of various packages (BMS, Security, functional safety) with a variety of Designs. This position offers a mix of management, technical problem-solving, investigation, and report authoring.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support Manufacturing, Construction, and Commissioning processes by representing Engineering.
• Author and respond to Design Change Notes, Technical Queries, Concessions, and Commissioning Reservations.
• Author Technical Notes/Assessments.
• Manage Requirements and Traceability.
• Oversee Reservation Management.
• Review Inspection and Test Plans.
• Progress Documentation
• Resolve Manufacturing, Installation, and Commissioning challenges with the support of the Design Manager.
• Assist with the Certification of Design process.
• Coordinate the development of Operation and Maintenance Manuals with the Supply Chain and stakeholders.

About You:

The successful Lead Engineer will be a competent self-starter who is eager for a challenge and has a strong focus on completion and organization. You will be experienced in various controls and instrumentation. You will be supported by a Design Manager to provide direction, but you must be able to independently complete tasks efficiently to maintain the project program.
