Belcan is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer in Reading!
Type: Contract (12 months)
Hybrid: 4 days onsite, 1 day WFH
About the Role:
Join our client's dynamic design team as a Lead Engineer, where you will play a crucial role in managing various suppliers involved in the design, manufacturing, installation, and commissioning of 10 door packages with diverse designs. This position offers a mix of management, mechanical technical problem-solving, investigation, and report authoring.
Key Responsibilities:
Support Manufacturing, Construction, and Commissioning processes by representing Engineering.
Author and respond to Design Change Notes, Technical Queries, Concessions, and Commissioning Reservations.
Author Technical Notes/Assessments.
Manage Requirements and Traceability.
Oversee Reservation Management.
Review Inspection and Test Plans.
Progress Documentation.
Resolve Manufacturing, Installation, and Commissioning challenges with the support of the Design Manager.
Assist with the Certification of Design process.
Coordinate the development of Operation and Maintenance Manuals with the Supply Chain and stakeholders.
About You:
The sucessfull Lead Engineer will be a competent self-starter who is eager for a challenge and has a strong focus on completion and organization. You will be supported by a Design Manager to provide direction, but you must be able to independently complete tasks efficiently to maintain the project program.
