Morson Talent are recruiting for a Lead Overhead Catenary System (OCS) Engineer to work on a Major High Speed Rail Project.This is a permanent position offering flexible working arrangements as a Hybrid role with 3 days WFH and 2 days required in the clients office in Birmingham or London.Salary dependant on relevant experience and the benefits package offers an excellent 20% flex fund on top. Role Brief:You will provide technical and professional leadership for OCS Engineering, leading on the application of the standards and technical requirements for the discipline. You will provide assurance where the design and construction of the OCS assets meet the project requirements and work to resolve any related issues where appropriate.Essential Criteria:Must have an expert understanding of the Regulatory/Legislative Framework relevant to High Speed Rail.Must have the confidence to be capable of having an input when required to on standards and to attend meetings on behalf of the Head of Overhead contract system chez on High speed. Provides specialist technical support and leadership on all discipline-specific scientific, technical and engineering principles to those working directly with project development / delivery teams in area or phase.Applicable UK construction regulations including CDM requirements.The application of the Common Safety Method (CSM) for risk evaluation and assessment.Commercial awareness including understanding of cost delivery, schedule targets and the need to deliver an integrated solution that meets all functional requirements.Understanding of other railway system and civil disciplines.Chartered Engineer/Membership of an appropriate professional institution or the equivalent experience.Experience in managing multi-disciplinary engineering and safety standards, activity on large complex major projects/ programmes within a complex infrastructure delivery programme.Experience of managing competing project and engineering demands, with cost and schedule implications.Job type[]
