Lead Practice Nurse, Greenwich

Background

This is an incredibly exciting opportunity to join a very stable, team-focused Training and Teaching practice based in the historic Greenwich area. Focused on being progressive and improving ways of working, this high performing practice is exceptionally well run, and is now looking to hire a Lead Practice Nurse to lead their multi-skilled Nursing team.

You can expect a very balanced role, as the Lead Nurse will be focusing on clinical work as well as team leadership/development responsibilities. This surgery has a team of Practice Nurses that are skilled in specialised areas of clinical expertise, so expect to focus on traditional Practice Nursing duties as well as overseeing the team. The surgery will be very flexible when it comes to the hours, days, and working pattern that you desire.

The surgery is very highly recommended by patients and well-thought of within the local community, it’s a practice where you can really make a difference to the lives of the patients you work with. Set in a lovely building with forward-thinking management in place, it’s really not an opportunity to miss!

Salary – £48,750 - £58,500 full time equivalent salary + 5.5 weeks annual leave + 1 week study leave + NHS Pension

Location – Greenwich, South-East London

The surgery –


  • Fantastic location, close to tube and train stations, close to the Thames
  • Incredibly stable GP Partners (Between 4 and 20 years experience with the practice), and stable team of GPs (well-doctored surgery) and Allied Health staff
  • Teaching and Training Practice – lots of upskilling available

Your role –


  • Full-time or Part-Time role (minimum 30 hours)
  • Traditional Practice Nurse duties
  • Management and development of the Nursing team
  • 15 minute appointments
  • Face-to-face consultations
  • Own clinical room
  • Dedicated admin time
