The Role:

So, what will you be doing as a Lead Project Engineer?

• Lead and co-ordinate engineering support to Production
• Covering supply chain/production issues (mainly Mech/Elec)
• Leading on production acceptance activities through range testing
• Engineering Lead on product design maintenance for in-service Sonobuoys (e.g. resolution of obsolescence, maintenance of drawings/documentation)
• Engineering lead with customer - presentation of design changes and modifications, In-Service Support aspects (e.g. stock management, refiling), technical support to customer for Sonobuoy use and the systems they work with

What are we looking for in our next Lead Project Engineer?

• A foundation in Support Engineering with an understanding of Software Engineering and ideally, a background in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• Experience of producing engineering schedules with dependencies
• Experience of engineering estimation, with an ability to review, challenge and justify estimates
• Experience of management of risks, assumptions, issues, decisions, and opportunities
• Ideally with experience of Work Package Management
