Working Pattern: P ermanent / Full Time
As the Lead Engineer , you will-
Have e xperience leading a team of engineers and coordinating work tasks to achieve required plan dates or be a senior / principal engineer looking for a step up in their career.
Possess s trong knowledge of the offshore and onshore gas business but similar transferrable industries skills will be also considered in leu of specific O&G experience.
Be t echnically competent in own discipline and actively maintain own competence according to standards and pursues continuous professional development.
Be e xperience d in managing team budgets, produce scope estimates and recognising and controlling scope change.
Liaise closely with other disciplines to ensure all equipment requirements are addressed in the design, specification of equipment, construction sequencing and commissioning.
Provide value adding knowledge to constructability reviews and take consideration of layout restrictions, ergonomics, safety, utilities and maintainability.
Be e xperience d in coordinating and controlling vendor document submissions and reviews .
Generat e , check, and approv e calculations against design codes and best practice.

Location : Aberdeen or Glasgow hybrid working 3 days in the office with flexibility to work from home for 2 days.
About You Youll have experience of:
W orking in a brownfield environment .
Producing, checking, and approving structural detail drawings .
Primary and secondary structural designs .
Civils design.
Producing, checking, and approving structural arrangement drawings, installation sequence drawings, lifting arrangement drawings and weight control reports.
Designing lifting arrangements and development of installation routes.
Creating , checking, and approving structural calculations using STAAD .
Performing studies, FEED, and detail design of structural fabrications in an EPC environment or client role is highly preferred.
S afety studies such as: HAZID and design safety reviews.
Producing, checking, and approving deliverables that conform to all applicable industry engineering codes and standards as well as the clients policies and procedures relative to the equipment being specified. Sound knowledge of relevant commonly used codes therefore required .
IT Packages such as AutoCAD and Plant 3D would be an advantage, but not essential. Knowledge of Microsoft packages, STAAD and Mathcad is essential.

Qualifications
BSc or equivalent in relevant Engineering Discipline
Chartered Engineer status preferred
Significant, demonstrable experience in Detailed Design Engineering and Engineering Checking
Detailed understanding of all Engineering disciplines
K nowledge and understanding of relevant Oil & Gas Industry Codes and Standards
Understand the application of Autodesk Design products
Competent in the use of MS Office applications
Survival BOSIET/FOET with CA-EBS & MIST ( advantageous )
