Lead System Engineer

We are currently recruiting for a Lead Systems Engineer to join the Transport side of their business based from our office near Canning Town. This is a Hybrid role with half your time in the office and the rest from home. The Lead System Engineer will work in a small team that supports both the projects team and maintenance team delivering works across London Underground and Network Rail systems Key Requirements: Experience of designing, building, testing and maintaining Windows Server architectures Worked with or built virtualisation instances preferably VMware. Experience with deploying cyber security systems and processes. Experience with maintaining or building Microsoft SQL databases. (desirable) Qualifications: Microsoft Server Certification including Servers and or SQL and Cisco CCNA (desirable) What you ll do: The role will be to lead a team of IT infrastructure focused systems engineers Support the maintenance and upgrade of IT infrastructure including windows servers SQL databases and VMware. Acting as the lead engineer to provide technical support for the maintenance and project delivery teams. The work will be across our internal remote systems and supporting and our customer systems. Provide a technical interface to the client. Who you are: You will be an effective communicator (both written and verbal) with proven experience within a networks or Server infrastructure environment and communicate effectively and be able to communicate positively with customers and colleagues in a challenging environment.
