As a Wind Turbine Technician, you won’t be just another number on a spreadsheet – you’ll be the forefront of innovation, making a tangible impact on the future of our planet.What’s important to us is to find something who is willing to make their mark on the wind energy sector; someone who is looking to showcase their skills and creativity, which will shape the directions of our projects and push the boundaries as to what’s possible.You will be responsible for:Perform routine maintenance and repairs on wind turbines to ensure optimal performance and minimise downtimeInspect turbine components, including blades, nacelles, and towers, for any signs of damage or wearTroubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using schematics and diagnostic equipmentConduct root cause analysis to identify the underlying cause of equipment failures and implement corrective actionsCollaborate with a team of technicians to complete scheduled maintenance tasks and respond to unscheduled repairsAssist in the installation and commissioning of new wind turbinesMaintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and equipment conditionTo be successful in this role, you should have:Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude for working with complex machineryMinimum of 3 years experience on wind turbines in a technician capacityExperience with Nordex Turbines is essentialExperience in building or repairing mechanical or electrical systems is highly desirableKnowledge of electrical engineering principles and ability to read electrical schematicsProficiency in using software programs such as Revit and SolidWorks for design and analysis purposesFamiliarity with carbonise systems and logic controllers used in wind turbine operationsAbility to perform root cause analysis to identify equipment failures and implement effective solutionsStrong problem-solving skills and ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a teamExperience of being an Authorised Technician under the Wind Turbine Safety Rules.It would be desirable to have:Full GWO, Working at Heights Medical.Experience on Siemens and Vestas TurbinesExperience of being an Authorised Engineer under the Wind Turbine Safety Rules.If you're ready to be part of something bigger – something that's changing the world for the better – we want to hear from you.
