Learner Support and Administration Officer
Location: Derry
Salary: £20,000 - £25,000 per annum
Hours: 35.25 hours per week
Monday - Thursday: 8:45 am - 5:00 pm
Friday: 8:45 am - 4:00 pm

With over 30 years of experience, they offer over 60 courses in various sectors, dedicated to empowering learners through hands-on education in modern, purpose-built facilities. We are seeking a Learner Support and Administration Officer to join their team in Derry. This full-time role offers a competitive salary between £20,000 and £25,000, with the potential for an immediate start.

About the Role:
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of administrative responsibilities and direct interaction with learners. As the Learner Support and Administration Officer, your duties will include:

  • Handling general administrative tasks such as paperwork, filing, and updating spreadsheets
  • Supporting the wider team with office-based duties
  • Welcoming and assisting learners and visitors to the centre
  • Checking in with learners who have missed classes
  • Providing pastoral care and support to learners, ensuring their needs are met
  • Liaising with third-party stakeholders to assist learners in accessing necessary services

About You:
The ideal candidate will have a balance of administrative skills and a strong ability to connect with people. While previous administration experience is beneficial, it is your interpersonal and communication skills that will make the difference in this role.

Key Requirements:

  • Proficiency in general administration, including familiarity with MS Office, particularly Excel
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Previous experience in a pastoral or educational support role is a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
