The Role
We are looking for a motivated and experienced Learning & Development Partner to join their team. You will play a key role in supporting the Learning & Development (L&D) Manager to design, deliver, and implement training and development programs across their South and Mid Wales regions. You will ensure the employees are well-equipped to meet the needs of the people they support, while also working to improve organisational learning outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing and advising on vocational qualifications, particularly within Health & Social Care (H&SC)
  • Delivering a range of learning and development activities, including training on regulatory standards (SWA/RISCA)
  • Developing and delivering courses, with an emphasis on hybrid training methods
  • Monitoring and evaluating L&D activities against organisational KPIs
  • Providing leadership to L&D officers within the South and Mid Wales regions
  • Collaborating with external training providers and delivering national training sessions

Person Specification
We are seeking someone who is:

  • Qualified to Level 4 in Learning and Development or equivalent
  • Experienced in the Health & Social Care sector at a senior level
  • Knowledgeable of the qualification and regulatory requirements for employees in social care (SCW and CIW standards)
  • Skilled in developing and delivering training courses in H&SC
  • Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Comfortable with frequent travel across Wales, with occasional overnight stays

Desirable qualifications include:

  • Manual Handling and PBM trainer certifications (or willingness to achieve)
  • Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management in H&SC
  • The ability to speak Welsh or a willingness to learn within five years
