We have an exciting opportunity for a Learning Manager for Business, Tourism and Sports to join the team on a full-time, permanent basis. In return,you will receive a competitive salary of £44,219 - £47,949 per annum.

About the role:
As the Learning Manager you will be responsible for supporting the Director of Learning/Head of Area in the leading and managing of curriculum delivery, staff and resources within a designated Directorship. The role will deputise for the Director/Head as required respect of their area of responsibility. This will include the direct line management of staff.
The role is key to the quality of the student experience and success. The Learning Manager will work with personal tutors, Directors/Heads and other cross college departments (in particular with Quality) to deliver high levels of student satisfaction, success and progression.
Responsibilities as our Learning Manager will include:
The role will provide efficient and effective support and leadership in all of the following tasks/areas where appropriate.
Lead and develop our exciting curriculum.
Deliver an outstanding student experience.
Be optimistic and ambitious for your students and staff.
Lead on and role model a culture of recognition and celebration.
Listen internally to students and staff and respond to their feedback.
Lead on our culture and values, encourage colleagues to do the same.
Organise, motivate and inspire our expert staff team.
Effectively monitor progress, retention and attendance and act swiftly to resolve issues.
Lead the annual self-assessment review, develop and manage the implementation of the quality improvement plan in a timely and effective manner.
Lead and manage staff, set clear objectives, lead on appraisals and develop your team.
Communicate clearly and effectively and be an active member of the college leadership team.
Manage day to day occurrences to maintain a good quality student experience.
Amend timetables for staff and students to ensure parameters and funding requirements are met.
Ensure the curriculum delivery develops employability and the development of student character.
As our Learning Manager, you'll ideally have:
Ambition and a vision for high quality curriculum
A teaching qualification relevant to post-16 education
Evidence of relevant continued professional development and/or training
An excellent teacher / lecturer with a track record of success
Leadership experience in industry or education
Experience of building, motivating and leading teams to success
Successful curriculum management, development and innovation
Strategic planning and implementation
An understanding of issues that may impact student engagement with education and their learning
A broad understanding of national education policy which reflects opportunities and challenges within the current post-16, adult, higher apprenticeship landscape
