A passionate SEN Learning Support Assistant (LSA) is required to support various temporary roles within a network of specialist schools across East Sussex. The role involves supporting learners across primary and secondary phases, working on a 1:1 basis, in small groups, or leading intervention sessions. The role starts ASAP, with both part-time and full-time hours available.
The schools have a strong community ethos, ensuring every child feels valued and supported. Learners are of mixed abilities, including SEN, with around 70+ pupils enrolled at each site. The schools follow a broad and balanced curriculum, and academic attainment is above the national average.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to SEN and mixed-ability learners
- Assist with intervention sessions to help learners meet their individual goals
- Collaborate with class teachers and SENCO to ensure students are fully supported
- Adapt to the individual needs of learners and provide personalised support
- Support a positive learning environment in line with the schools' ethos
- Help maintain and foster a safe, nurturing classroom environment

Requirements:
- Experience as a Teaching Assistant, LSA, or similar role within education or care
- Knowledge of working with SEN learners or mixed-ability groups
- Flexibility, resilience, and a positive, can-do attitude
- Ability to build relationships quickly with learners and colleagues
- Previous experience in schools, nurseries, or care settings is essential
- Eligibility to work in the UK
