We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant's (LSAs) for long-term agency positions within primary schools across Surrey. This role is perfect for psychology graduates, aspiring teachers, and experienced support staff who are looking to gain valuable experience and make a positive impact on young learners. Based in Woking.

Key Responsibilities:
  • As a Learning Support Assistant, you will provide 1:1 support to students with special educational needs (SEN) or those requiring additional help with their learning.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Work closely with class teachers and SEN coordinators to ensure the child's needs are met.
  • Support the student in developing social skills and encouraging positive behavior.
  • Help with classroom activities, including lesson preparation and general administrative tasks.
  • Monitor and record the student's progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
Requirements:
  • Education: A degree in psychology, education, or a related field is highly desirable.
  • Experience: Previous experience working as a Learning Support Assistant, or with children, particularly those with SEN, is advantageous.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children's educational and emotional development.
  • Flexibility: Ability to adapt to different school environments and work collaboratively within a team. Able to travel to Woking.
  • Commitment: Willingness to commit to a long-term role and build strong, supportive relationships with the students you assist.
