We are working in partnership with a Primary Academy School in Eccles who are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join their support and pastoral teams from September on an ongoing basis. This role is full-time working Monday - Friday 8:30 - 15:30 during term time.

The schools is a well organised school, with a strong SEN support team in place. They have a number of pupils with EHCP (Education Health Care Plan) in process and as such need to add to their support team to support these pupils from September. These roles are ongoing, long-term roles, that will likely last the duration of the whole academic year, with potential to go on to the schools contact, when EHCP funding is granted.

The role is to work as a Learning Support Assistant; working with identified pupils with barriers to learning, with needs such as Autism, Social Emotional Mental Health needs, moderate learning disorders and SpLD. You would be working with these pupils, under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO, to help them to reach their true potential and support their inclusion in school.

The school will consider candidates with experience in this field or those who don't have the experience but have an evident passion for supporting pupils with additional needs and helping them to reach their true potential. You may be a graduate who is looking to explore a potential career in education - degrees in Psychology, Sports, Criminology all have transferable skills that are well suited to this. Also candidates who have working with children and young people but not in a school setting and are looking to move across in to this environment.
