Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and making a difference in their lives?
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Special Needs Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our supportive team at a primary school in Abbots Langley. This role will focus on supporting students with autism and behavioral challenges. The position is available for an ASAP start and offers a wonderful opportunity to work in a rewarding environment where you can truly make a positive impact on students learning and development.
Key Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one or small group support for children with autism and behavioral challenges.

Support the development and implementation of individualized learning plans.

Encourage and assist students with tasks and activities, helping them to engage in the curriculum.

Monitor and record students progress and behavior, providing feedback to the class teacher and SENCo.

Assist with the creation of a supportive and safe classroom environment.

Work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the childs needs are met effectively.

Promote independence, social skills, and emotional development in students.

The Ideal Candidate: Experience working with children with autism and behavioral challenges (either in a school or similar setting).

A patient, caring, and empathetic nature with the ability to manage challenging behavior effectively.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff and parents.

A positive, proactive, and flexible approach to working with children with special educational needs.

Relevant qualifications in special needs education (e.g., CACHE Level 2 or 3) are desirable, but not essential.
