We have an exciting opportunity for a Lecturer in Foundation Studies to join the team on a part time, permanent basis. You will be working on a part time 0.9 FTE basis and in return,you will receive a competitive rate of £31,000 to £41,217.00 pro rata, per annum DOE. (Unqualified teachers £24,547 to £31,000 pro rata per annum DOE.)
We are a high-achieving college who attract around 2,800 sixth form students across the region each year. We are based within the stunning New Forest National Park and offer our students a huge range of courses and superb facilities.

About the role:
As the Lecturer in Foundation Studies, you willcontinually improve the learning experience and achievement of students through effective teaching. The role will include teaching English and Vocational skills and providing pastoral support to learners with EHCPs working at Entry to Level 1.
Responsibilities as our Lecturer in Foundation Studies will include:
Teach on courses as agreed with the Head of Curriculum.
Take on the responsibilities of a Foundation Personal tutor, when required.
Prepare and mark student work, monitor progress towards individual targets, keep records and provide timely reports/reviews/EHCP feedback to students, parents, employers and College managers, as appropriate.
Work closely with other colleagues to respond to the needs of students.
Contribute to the design, delivery and future planning and development of the curriculum.
Pay due attention to the principles of inclusive learning including: individual learning styles.
support for students with SEND.
extension resources/activities for students of higher ability.
general resources, including the use of Digital Learning Technology.

As our Lecturer in Foundation Studies, you'll ideally have:
Degree or equivalent professional qualification in relevant subject area
Appropriate teacher training qualification
Record of continuous professional and career development
Experience of high-quality teaching to both 16–25-year-olds and adult students with SEND
Experience of delivery of effective pastoral support and the development of Individual learning plans
Able to work collaboratively with colleagues to develop effective course content across the Foundation curriculum offer
Knowledge and understanding of current developments in SEND
Creative, supportive and positive approach to teaching, learning and assessment
Flexible team player who has the ability to meet deadlines and handle pressure from a range of demands
