Lecturer - Professional Cookery

Permanent, Part Time (0.4 14.4 hours per week)
The School of Commercial, Creative and Professional Studies at Merton College are seeking a Lecturer to deliver outstanding quality in teaching, learning and assessment on L1-L3 Professional Cookery courses including adults and 1618-year-olds.
Youll support the running of the commercial restaurant run by learners, as well as provide academic tutorial support to students in order to maximise achievement and continuous improvement. Youll play a key role in supporting the development of the curriculum with employer engagement, and learner skill development.
Were looking for someone who holds a teaching qualification (or willing to work towards), qualified to a minimum of a degree in Hospitality and Catering and who has experience of teaching Hospitality and catering in an FE College, School or Private Provider. Youll have experience of teaching L1 L3 City and Guilds Professional Cookery courses with experience of running a commercial kitchen or training kitchen.
With strong evidence of good-to-outstanding teaching, learning, assessment and tracking and of effective employer engagement in curriculum design and delivery, youll be able to work under pressure and to strict validating body deadlines and provide evidence of assessment for Moderation.
