Job Title: Legal Assistant - Residential Conveyancing

Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Residential Conveyancing Legal Assistant to join our dynamic client in Bridgwater. The ideal candidate will provide vital support to the conveyancing department, assisting with the progression of residential property transactions from instruction to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting solicitors with all aspects of residential conveyancing transactions, including sales, purchases, transfers of equity, and re-mortgages.
- Preparing and drafting correspondence, legal documents, and forms related to property transactions.
- Liaising with clients, solicitors, estate agents, and mortgage lenders to ensure the smooth progression of transactions.
- Conducting searches, including Land Registry applications and SDLT submissions.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all client communications and case progress.
- Dealing with general administrative duties, such as file management and document collation.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a conveyancing or legal assistant role, ideally within residential property.
- Strong understanding of the conveyancing process and property law.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise professionally with clients and third parties.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage a busy caseload.
