£35,000 - £40,000 p/a DoE
Bell Cornwall Recruitment are delighted to be working with a multi-site, national law firm who continue to grow. They are looking for a Legal Compliance Manager to join their office in the Edgbaston area of Birmingham.
Duties and responsibilities of the Legal Compliance Manager will include (but are not limited to):

\n
• Establish a standardised approach for delivering and documenting operational services to ensure effective management and governance of Davisons Law compliance across all offices.
\n
• Ensure full compliance to AML regulations at all offices.
\n
• Act as the primary contact for professional indemnity insurers, handling claims, maintaining records, and conducting investigations.
\n
• Oversee safety management in alignment with established policies.
\n
• Provide accurate, regular updates and reports on compliance status to the senior management team, and timely updates on non-compliance issues.
\n
• Assist in managing escalated complaints with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) or Legal Ombudsman, serving as Liaison Officer during SRA inspections.
\n
• Advise fee earners on professional conduct matters, including conflicts of interest and ethical considerations.
\n

The ideal candidate:

\n

\n
• Experience of compliance management within a law firm or heavily regulated environment
\n
• Knowledge of SRA processes
\n
• Excellent communication with a proactive nature
\n
• Ability to review processes and run workshops
\n
• Happy to travel into the office 5 days a week
\n
