Legal Counsel London, UK We are looking for a dynamic, talented corporate / commercial lawyer to join our growing team. Reporting to our General Counsel, you will play a pivotal role in the company s growth by providing full spectrum legal expertise and advice to the business ranging from client and vendor contract reviews through to supporting our new business areas and global expansion. This will be a varied and challenging position with a focus on commercial matters, including but not limited to: Providing general legal support, advice and guidance to the FINBOURNE group Drafting, review and negotiation of a variety of commercial contracts Advice on regulatory regimes including General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and financial regulation impacting our clients Working with and managing our external legal counsel for specialist advice You will be supported and encouraged to undertake regular and appropriate training annually in order to maintain your practising certificate (supported by the company) Key responsibilities: Draft, review and negotiate a range of commercial contracts with clients and vendors (including SaaS Agreements, NDAs, Consultancy Agreements and Partnership Agreements) Provide advice on IP related matters Assist with corporate work including funding, company secretarial, corporate governance and international expansion. Research, monitor and advise on compliance with applicable regulatory frameworks Advise on employment matters and employee incentives Assist with ad hoc projects Work with external legal counsel as and when appropriate What skills, experience and qualifications we require: Qualified Solicitor/Lawyer in the UK or other Common Law jurisdiction, 2 5 years PQE in a leading law firm or in-house team Have corporate, commercial, regulatory or financial services experience in current or previous practice Strong transactional experience advising on contract negotiations, preferably in Fintech, payments or banking Excellent time management skills and ability to manage a high volume of work Ability to work autonomously and independently High level of written and interpersonal communication skills High level of accuracy and attention to detail Be open-minded and willing to accept new challenges Fluency in English Just some of our benefits: Competitive salary plus financial rewards Health & Wellbeing: A competitive health insurance policy that disregards previous medical history.
