Job Description
We require a junior Legal Counsel to work across Teya Legal team, but with experience in commercial and employment legal work. Responsibilities would include:
Working with senior members of the legal team to provide day-to-day advice to the Teya business on a broad range of issues, but with a particular focus on employment, commercial and corporate law matters.
Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements to support the wider business.
Assisting with a variety of employment matters, including implementation and administration of the Company's employee incentive schemes, recruitment, disciplinary and grievance matters, and employment tribunal proceedings.
Liaising with local counsel and local teams within the Teya network.
Supporting with building and improving processes in the team and how it works with the business.
Assisting with training stakeholders and leaders in respect of legal issues and best practice.

Qualifications
Qualified solicitor (0-1 PQE) in England and Wales
Fluency in English
An interest in the in-house legal world and the fintech industry
Hands-on attitude and ability to take initiative
Pragmatic and commercial approach to legal issues; ability to problem solve and think strategically in helping Teya achieve its goals
Solutions-oriented approach to legal and commercial risk
Effective communication skills and an ability to work effectively with the wider business
