Salary c£23k dependent on experience

We are working with a leading Lexcel accredited, regional law firm who are succession planning for their expanding Private Client (Wills and Probate) Department. The role has come about due to existing staff progressing their careers within the firm, demonstrating the firm's commitment to training and development. 

We are looking to attract an experienced Legal Secretary to support their Private Client team at their lovely head office in Leamington Spa town centre. Experience within wills and probate work would be an advantage but is not essential, provided candidates have previous, up to date, legal secretarial and administration experience. 

The role will involve:

  • Supporting the Private Client team with secretarial and administrative duties
  • Drafting correspondence and legal documents related to wills, trusts, probate, lasting powers of attorney and estate administration
  • Dealing with clients by phone, email and face to face in a sympathetic and professional manner
  • Audio and copy typing
  • Scanning, copying and filing
  • Opening, closing and archiving files
  • Using a legal case management system
  • Diary management

Suitable candidates will have:

  • Previous, recent legal administration or legal secretarial experience
  • Previous wills and probate experience (preferred but not essential as training will be given)
  • Accurate keyboard skills 
  • Experience of using a legal case management system
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good organisational skills
  • The ability to work well as part of a team and prioritise your workload
  • A passion for working in the private client field

This is a full time, office based, permanent job, working 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday (35 hours per week)
