Legal Secretary We are recruiting for a Legal Secretary to join the team of one of our Clients based in Ballymena. The client is a busy general law practice in Ballymena Town Centre who caters for a wide range of their client's personal and commercial legal requirements across Northern Ireland. Main duties and responsibilities: Opening and closing files and working within the firm's case management system. Transcription and typing of letters, emails, file notes, pleadings, and other legal documentation with Microsoft Office software. Keeping files under review and up-to-date. Making and receiving phone calls and liaising with clients, agents and other solicitors. Arranging solicitor- client appointments. Proof-reading draft documents. Supporting fellow clerical staff during busy periods. Experience filing Legal Aid claims through the LAMS system would be advantageous. Qualifications and Experience: Ideally you will have worked as a legal secretary for at least one year but this is not essential as the client will provide training. Always maintaining confidentiality. You must have knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word You must take pride in your work and have a high degree of accuracy. Hours of work: Monday to Friday - No weekend work 9am to 5pm 7 hour working day Salary: Negotiable depending on experience Benefits: Company pension Sick pay This is a permanent position and although is advertised as a full time position, applicants from legal secretaries who wish to work part time will also be considered.
