Role Overview:
We are looking for a committed Legionella Quality & Compliance Manager to oversee and ensure the compliance and service delivery of our expanding legionella department across the UK. This role involves close collaboration with the Field Operations Manager and the administration team to maintain smooth operations and achieve departmental success. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical understanding of legionella risk and management, with substantial hands-on experience as a legionella risk assessor or consultant. You will manage legionella operations, lead teams of risk assessors/engineers, and uphold our LCA accreditation through regular audits.

Responsibilities:
Lead and support the Legionella Services field teams across the UK.
Ensure compliance with statutory health & safety standards and maintain industry benchmarks.
Collaborate with the Field Operations Manager to enhance daily operations and drive departmental innovation.
Assist the sales team with quotes and tender processes.
Support the digital advancement of Surveying Services.

Key Performance Indicators:
Audit at least two Legionella risk assessment reports per surveyor each month.
Conduct quarterly audits on each surveyor.
Address microbiological positives within 24 hours.
Ensure 100% completion of scheduled jobs weekly within scope and budget.

Job Specific Functions:
Professionally represent the company in the marketplace.
Stay informed on current water hygiene legislation and update the company on relevant changes.
Provide technical support and guidance within the company.
Manage the field-based legionella delivery team, ensuring KPI adherence and high performance.
Travel throughout the UK to support field staff and operational needs.
Oversee larger legionella projects, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery.
Maintain high staff morale, motivation, and discipline.
Communicate sales opportunities from client/site visits.
Oversee onboarding and auditing of subcontractors.
Deliver Legionella Services as needed, focusing on L8RAs, Written Schemes, and L8 Training.
Conduct regular audits of post-service reports, field staff, and subcontractors.
Support recruitment and training of external field staff.
Analyse field productivity and assist with planning improvements.
Participate in strategic projects to achieve company targets.
Communicate and implement business strategies within external teams.
Mentor surveyors and conduct annual appraisals, reviews, and disciplinary processes.
Assist the sales team with tender-related quotes.
Produce method statements and risk assessments for all Legionella services.
Organise and ensure the functionality and calibration of necessary equipment.
Ensure all equipment is maintained in a serviceable condition with the Warehouse Supervisor.
Support the Warehouse Supervisor in maintaining up-to-date COSHH data.
Liaise with client/site personnel to resolve issues and ensure compliance.
Immediately communicate any progress issues or problems on-site to the office.
Develop digital compliance systems to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Manage and prepare for industry-leading audit requirements.
Ensure adherence to company procedures and the Company Code of Conduct.
