To support, motivate and help to develop other staff working within the room.

Main Duties:
To have a good knowledge and understanding of the EYFS and child development.
There is shared a responsibility between you and your manager to undertake continuous professional development. This describes the activities you undertake to develop your abilities and understanding in your professional role. It refers to everything you do to improve your skills, remind yourself of things you have forgotten and update your current knowledge and understanding.
To contribute to the day-to-day organisation of the room in line with the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
Safeguarding and Welfare requirements, the Childcare Act 2016 and Health and Safety legislation.
Work to Manor House Nursery School and KCC procedures for safeguarding children.
Help to establish an ethos where children are encouraged to express views, formulate rules and contribute to the planning and organisation of the day
Have a pro-active awareness of and responsibility with others for all Health and Safety issues within the room including the administration of First aid and medication.
Maintain and develop effective communication with colleagues working in the other areas within the nursery. Be prepared to work in other rooms within the nursery when required.
Work to the policies and procedures laid down by Manor House Nursery School.
Keep confidential all information concerning children, families and staff.
Have an awareness of the dietary/medical needs of all children within and provide children with healthy and nutritious snacks and food working in partnership with parents/carers.
