Level 3 Teaching Assistant - Maternity Cover
Location: Primary School, S9 Sheffield
Position: Level 3 Teaching Assistant (Maternity Cover)
Start Date: September
Working Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday
Pay: £85-£100 per day, depending on experience
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our primary school team in S9 Sheffield for a maternity cover position starting in September. This full-time role involves working in Key Stage 2 (KS2) and providing some support to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Responsibilities:
* Supporting Learning Activities: Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
* One-on-One Support: Provide individualized support to pupils with SEN to enhance their learning experience.
* Classroom Management: Help maintain a positive and orderly classroom environment.
* Resource Preparation: Prepare and organize teaching materials and resources.
* Assessment Assistance: Support the assessment of pupil progress and provide feedback.
* Behavioral Support: Assist in managing pupil behavior and promoting positive social interactions.
* Administrative Duties: Perform various administrative tasks to support classroom activities.
* Collaboration: Work collaboratively with teaching staff and other TAs to ensure a cohesive learning environment.
Skills Required:
* Qualifications: Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
* Experience: Previous experience working in KS2 and with SEN pupils is highly desirable.
* Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Patience and Empathy: Ability to provide empathetic support to pupils with diverse needs.
* Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills to manage classroom resources and activities.
* Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
