Youll be working with children aged 4 14 years old, always ensuring the childrens safety, including during swim tests. As you are working with children, it is vital you have a good understanding of safeguarding children as well as being able to communicate effectively. /p p The Lifeguard hours are usually from 1pm 4/5pm, but this may vary depending on the needs of the site. /p p b Active Camps runs from 8am 6pm Monday Friday (excluding bank holidays). /b /p p b br /b /p p b Your Schedule /b /p ul li Contract length: 08th July 30thAugust 2024 /li li Between 2-15hrs per week /li li Monday Friday /li /ul p br /p p b Benefits /b /p ul li Employee Assistance Programme /li li Flexible Shifts /li li Further training opportunities such as Paediatric First Aid /li li Refer a friend incentives /li li Free childcare for children aged 4-14 years at one of our sites /li /ul br p b Your Duties /b /p ul li Lifeguarding duties while children are using the pool facilities /li li Conduct b daily /b swim tests with all children before allowing them to swim /li li Working as a team to provide safe, creative, structured, and appropriate play opportunities for children aged 4 14 years /li li Follow our PSOPS /li li With other staff, being responsible for keeping premises clean and tidy /li li Working within all agreed policies and procedures /li /ul br p b About You /b /p ul li Be at least 18 years of age /li li Must have a current, valid NPLQ /li li Must have previous experience working as a Lifeguard (Over 6 Months preferably) /li li Ability to communicate at all levels, particularly with children /li li Ability to work on own initiative but also as part of a team /li li Willingness to undertake appropriate training and keep up to date with your Lifeguarding training /li /ul br p b Requirements /b /p ul li A valid NPLQ Qualification /li li Over 6 Months Experience /li /ul br p Active Camps is committed to safe practice in recruitment and selection that includes consideration of issues regarding child protection, safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
