Lighting Designer

Job Title: Lighting Designer
Responsible for designing lighting calculations to relevant standards and specifications usingWILA/EB products and creating layout drawings, technical presentations and quotations to deadlines accurately and professionally.

Main Responsibilities & Duties

• Accurate Lighting Calculations using Dialux or Dialux Evo


• Customer take off counts and quote creation


• Provide lighting payback calculations (ROI) on a project-by-project basis in order to meet customer expectations


• Support the growth of the business and sales team by working closely with customers


• Undertake and performing site surveys and customer meetings


• Liaising with customers directly on their lighting design schemes


• Provide product datasheets and related information for all products


• Be knowledgeable and able to apply relevant industry and segment guidelines, standards


• and regulatory requirements and be able to translate these to the sales team


• �Maintain and orderly workflow according to priorities set by your manager


• Maintain accurate records (CRM)


• Being knowledgeable about products and services offered by the business


• Being aware of market trends and competitors


• Maintain a positive attitude that promotes a culture of growth through sales across the business


• Continue the philosophy to always communicate effectively, providing a knowledgeable and intimate service to all internal and external customers.

Qualification and Skills

• Minimum of HNC in Engineering or Science based subject or equivalent technical


• competence


• Minimum of 3 years relevant lighting industry experience in a Lighting design / Technical environment


• Knowledge of current BS and EN standards and CIBSE guides relating to lighting


• Good level of technical knowledge relating to lighting products and associated components


• A high level of IT literacy


• An excellent working knowledge of AutoCAD, Dialux,


• Able to engage effectively with staff at all levels with different levels of technical�
