Lightning Protection Systems Engineer | Based in Oldham, with a willingness to travel and work away from home when required | Full Time - guaranteed 39 hours per week – Monday to Thursday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm and Friday, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm | £14.50 to £16.00 per hour, Dependent on NVQ and experience

Are you the right person for the job?
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Lightning Protective Systems Inspection and Testing, Accessing Operations, and Rigging
Experience in testing, inspecting, and maintaining lightning protection systems Candidate must be able to work safely and confidently at height. A head for heights is essential
Candidate must have experience of various working at height methods; use of ladders, MEWP, scaffold tower
Rope access experience would be desirable, but not essential as training would be given
Must be able to work in different client environments and be polite and professional
Good communication skills and a presentable appearance
A full UK driving licence
Must be prepared to travel throughout the UK and work away from home, including overnight stays when required
Excellent timekeeping skills

What will your role look like?
Maintaining, testing, installation of lightning protection via ladders, rope access, MEWPS, scaffold towers
Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of lightning protection systems to ensure compliance with safety standards
Perform visual inspections to check for loose connections, corrosion, and damage
Identify and rectify potential hazards and deficiencies in lightning protection systems
Keep detailed records of inspections and maintenance activities
Adhere to health and safety regulations, especially when working at height
