Linux Infrastructure Engineer

Linux Infrastructure Engineer - Remote based.

A dynamic and forward-thinking IT Services Provider at the forefront of technological innovation are looking for an experienced Linux SME to join them on a permanent basis.

You will spend your time, upgrading servers, applying security patches, building new systems, pro-actively monitoring / maintaining their Linux estate and migrating servers to their Cloud environment (Google Cloud). is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your skills and contribute to projects that will shape the future of their IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and administer Linux Debian servers, ensuring optimal performance and security.
• Oversee a mixture of on premise/physical and cloud environments, troubleshooting and resolving issues promptly.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute migration projects.
• Implement best practices for system reliability, scalability, and efficiency.
• Provide technical support and expertise to internal stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in Linux server administration.
• Strong interest in automation and scripting. (They currently use Terraform to automate deployments)
• Familiarity with migration projects and the challenges they present.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.

Remote based

You will be part of a 1 in 4 on-call rota.

Paying up to 45k.
