About the role:

As the successful Logistics Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating shipments, preparing and review documents to ensure compliance with import and export regulations.  Ensuring customers orders are handled effectively, efficiently and ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Prepare and organise all Import/Export documentation, including customs declarations, licences, and shipping documents, ensuring accuracy and completeness in alignment with company standards.


• Support the team in staying compliant with import/export regulations, trade laws, and customs requirements, while proactively keeping informed about any changes.


• Liaise with origin offices, partners, and agents to stay updated on commercial objectives and market conditions, while monitoring and tracking shipments to guarantee timely arrivals and communication with customers.


• Review incoming and outgoing goods and documentation to verify compliance with quality standards. Address any discrepancies and report issues to the Logistics Manager.


• Maintain communication with suppliers to track orders and shipments and respond to customer inquiries regarding their shipments.


• Adhere to health and safety guidelines in all logistics activities while identifying opportunities for process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.


• Perform any additional reasonable duties as required by management..

About you:

We are looking for a proactive Logistics Assistant, who is a team player with a results-oriented mindset. You will have a solid understanding of logistics and supply chain processes, preferably with experience in freight forwarding or deep-sea imports, including customs exposure. Strong communication and customer service skills are essential as you collaborate to meet our customers' needs. Your organisational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities will help you thrive in our dynamic environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge of international trade laws and customs procedures are vital for success in this role.
